Typically held in October, this is a free community event that provides fundraising for our local United Way. All are welcome to join the walk and the ceremony. The event includes a short ceremony with local first responders outside of City Hall and is followed by a solemn walk. The Freedom Walk is held in remembrance of the victims of 9/11. Event attendees can enjoy a variety of craft, business, and food vendors! Free children's activities include games, crafts, and inflatables as well as activities and booths focusing on our city's history!Ģ024 Founder's Day date will be announced at the end of the 2023 event season. Our 2nd Annual Founder's Day will take place this coming May. We wrap the derby up with a free community cookout hosted by our Belleview Police Department.Ģ024 Fishing Derby date will be announced at the end of the 2023 event season. Open to children ages 15 and under and held annually at Lake Lillian in April or May, this free event offers a morning of fishing with bait provided and prizes in two categories for biggest fish and most fish caught. Lake Lillian is stocked yearly to prepare for this event by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission with catfish and bass. Families can enjoy regular Friday Foodie Fest activities including FREE bounce houses, and train ride, and FREE face painting! One last summer hurrah where dinner and school supplies are taken care of - just stop by Friday Foodie Fest on July 28th at Lake Lillian! Friday Foodie Fest will serve as a pick-up location for FREE book-bags, and school supplies. Centered around various food trucks, families can come and enjoy music, free activities for children, and shop with local businesses and craft vendors while enjoying yummy food. Besides, the amazing food offerings, they also feature cooking demonstrations, eating contests, carnival rides, a beer garden, and a live DJ.
